If you’ve received a Protection Works Notice, you have 14 days to respond.
If you don’t, the law assumes you agree to the proposed works — even if you haven’t reviewed them.

WHO PAYS
Under Section 97 of the Building Act 1993, the owner undertaking the building work must pay the adjoining owner’s reasonable costs for:

Therefore, all Annex assessment or documentation review are invoices are forwarded to the owner who served the Protection Works Notice — not the adjoining owner.
